Are You a Candiate for a Breast Augmentation Procedure?

Before the Procedure:

A breast augmentation surgery is typically performed on an outpatient basis, using local anesthesia and sedation. Your surgery will take place in a surgical facility, or a surgical suite on site at the office of the surgeon. Occasionally, an overnight stay is required but most patients are able to return home the same day.

During the Procedure:

The surgeon will position the implant and make a small incision in the armpit area, along the contour of the areola, or underneath the breast contouring the the bottom crease. The implant is inserted through the small incision and is placed either under the chest muscle or under the breast tissue. Once the plastic surgeon has adjusted the implants to the correct position and shape, the incisions are closed up with stitches. Typically, patients are in surgery for around an hour or so.

So, are you a Candidate for a Breast Augmentation procedure? Most women are able to undergo a breast augmentation procedure. Ideal candidates are healthy enough to recover and should be close to their ideal weight.
